Chicago Derecho?

Started a thread for the intense storm (derecho?) slamming the Chicago area. Post any general Obs or comments you may have.

You know I was just going to post something in the main severe thread about that. By chance I checked the radar down there and saw a severe line that then branched into a slingshot like form. Just in the last hour though it is now taking on a more Derecho like appearance and speed. You can see a bowhead forming at the tip and maybe its accelerating?:

The last scans showed it less organized but who knows.

Who knows? Derechos are unpredictable... Fort Wayne, Columbus,Detroit, Toledo, be on the lookout. 8-)
