In Richmond, we (my hometown is near RIC) have seen 42.91" of rain so far this year, compared to 20.25" at this time last year!! Average for this point in the year is 29.89", so we are 13.02" above normal and 22.66" greater than this time last year.. WOW!!

This is not good news for an already waterlogged region of the country. Would you mind sharing some of that with the West? ;)

So far, thru August, Richmond has received 43.03 inches of rain, which is WELL above average (30.15")and 0.13" from the yearly average! All I can say is WOW.. especially after the drought last year in which we had only 21.07" thru August.

WOW, we have been way over this year as well.. Not sure about the year to date total though.. Know were a good bit over it though.. We more then doubled our August rainfall and we havent had a drop for about a week and a half.. So needless to say the first two weeks were WET.. Ended up with just about 11 inches for the month..
