Question about MCCs

I was curious as to why they survive and thrive (though generally not in a supercell/severe sense) into the night and the morning? Wouldn't they lose the instability that sets off the storms in the afternoon. I have heard that the low level nocturnal jet (southerly then veering) advecting moisture is a reason, but feel there might be other reasons.
Thanks in advance for any responses, my mesoscale meteorology (even though this is mesoscape-alpha/borderline synoptic phenomena) is quite poor.
