Stormsfury, I'm unfamiliar with the term - 3 stream phased blizzard, but am totally fascinated by the dynamics of this storm. Could you please describe it? Thanks!

A perfect example is the Superstorm 1993

Energy from the 3 jet streams, the Subtropical, the Polar, and the Arctic Jet came together to produce the March 1993 Superstorm ...

thus the term 3 streamed phased blizzard.

Check out my website for more information on the Superstorm 1993 (Winter Weather Page and/or Interesting Facts) for more details on the Superstorm, plus the 500mb Geopotential Heights Profile that day.

Yeah, I got a PM asking about that as well! ...
If they can resize it on that end, great ...
If not, I can reduce the size through my website.

Thanks for the reply, Stormsfury. And BTW, great links on your site on the 1899 blizzard and cold snap.

Do you get the feeling that Rob has Tropical Cyclone envy?

*LOL*

What I went through during Hugo can only be described as pure hell ...
My site has a very detailed account of what I went through ... (It's too large to post here cause it's two separate pages) -

But it was an experience I'll never forget ... I got the eye of Hugo as well - I always wanted to experience that ...
