What is the best radar website around? I don't like these sites for the following reasons:

1. Wunderground - The maps are too jumpy. I think this is mainly due to trying to piece together several different radars.

2. Weather.com - The maps are not accurate. They show rain where there is no precip falling. They show heavy returns when the actual precip falling is only moderate. In addition, you have no freedom to customize how many frames are in your loop or increase the speed of the loop past their "fast" mode.

3. Intellicast - This is a poor man's version of weather.com; see above.

Hence, I am looking for suggestions. If you know of any great apps, I'd like to hear about them as well.

Personally I use Wunderground... what do you mean by "the maps are too jumpy" ? The radar mosaics are only for the regional radar view, you have the option to view individual radars as well.

It doesn't have enough radar frames to put together a smooth looped radar.

Intellicast was among the best and most versatile. Until they were assimilated.

I just use the NWS sites now.

And GR3 on my PCs.

I prefer just the basic site. Not too many cities are posted as other sites. But it's good enough for me:

so far, the consensus is NWS.

There has to be better sites out there. I use RadarScope on my phone, which is better than NWS (although it is based off the NWS radars).

I like one of my local tv stations interactive radar. You can zoom in and out easily and look at any area in the U.S.
