22z has them too. How strong could these storms be if they form?

If they fire and have time to mature, then all modes of svr wx would be possible.

ironic after the SPC moved the slight and enhanced to the east too

Hard forecast

SPC has done two special releases today with 18z showing a huge cap in place. 21z still had a cap but showed a lot erosion from 18z and the 21z sounding at DFW matched up closely to the model projected sounding from the 21z HRRR. If a cell or two can fire and become surface based, like the HRRR is showing, then it could be go time.

No need outlooks or models, storms firing out west

Weather geek and a storm spotter in West Austin. Not a degreed meteorologist. Big snow fan. Love rain and cold! Despise heat!

Nice heavy rain with marble size hail for about 30 min before moving out.

Pretty interesting 00z out of FWD, it also shows some backing of the surface winds.

Not to impressed with the storms at this point. Probably blow up once they get East of Dallas.

The 3 smaller cells moving into DFW from the SW need to be watched. The environment out in front looks pretty favorable for continued development.

Yep. Watching the one on the Westside of Fort Worth that's heading my way in Arlington.

Got a couple of downpours that came up from the mid cities (Arlington, Grand Prairie) that's amounted to about a third of an inch. Not a ton, but heavy while brief.
