That ended up being legit. Crazy light show and a lot of pea size hail.

The models are starting to converge for late week. We're going into the winter thread with a bang!

Now just stay away from the bulls-eye 7 days out.

FV3 is oh so close to something significant. Cold air aloft, plenty of qpf but just missing at surface. Very, very close nearby for DFW.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR WILLIAMSON...NORTHERN TRAVIS AND
SOUTHWESTERN BURNET COUNTIES UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST...

At 1100 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Marble Falls, moving east at 60 mph.

Nickel size hail will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Taylor,
Marble Falls, Granger, Bertram, Serenada, Anderson Mill, Windemere,
Leander, Hutto, Lago Vista, Hudson Bend, Bartlett, Meadowlakes,
Liberty Hill and Jarrell.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
