We probably will not know the full extent of the damage and details of fatalities in Cairo, GA until tomorrow, if then, because of nightfall currently.
But, from everything I have been receiving and hearing on emergency feeds, it may be complete devastation of the city. Apparently, the tornado came directly through the entire width of the city.

It looks like the Cairo Tornado was strong but formed and dissipated fast.

:uarrow: It appears that the tornado was at its worse point when it traversed through Whigham, and then began the process of weakening as it went through Cairo, based on the radar image.

Again, we will not know the full extent of the damage in that region until tomorrow at the earliest. It will be extensive damage unfortunately any way you slice it.

Definitely qualifies for ef 4 damage but wouldn’t be surprised if they went 5 but not expecting it

This is a incredible and sad image. I can't see anyone surviving that if they were in either of those homes. The unforunate reality of EF4 and EF5 tornadoes is that sometimes the basic "take cover" procedures for a tornado still can't save your life.
