Severe Weather event 4/13-14/19

* AT 1116 AM CDT, A CONFIRMED LARGE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TORNADO
WAS LOCATED NEAR FRANKLIN, OR 9 MILES NORTH OF HEARNE, MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.

THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!

HAZARD...DAMAGING TORNADO.

SOURCE...RADAR CONFIRMED TORNADO.

IMPACT...YOU ARE IN A LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION. FLYING DEBRIS

You could see the strong debris ball once it hit Franklin. I hope the people there are safe, they likely took a lot of damage.

Well as of 6pm there's been far less tornado warned storms than I anticipated today. Looks like everything that forms immediately goes linear so good news. Might not get anything around Lafayette in an event that looked like a shoe in for 1"-2" until 24 hours ago.

Tornado on the ground in Starkville, MS. It looks very near the MSU campus.

BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED
Tornado Warning
National Weather Service Jackson MS
1026 PM CDT SAT APR 13 2019

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Clay County in northeastern Mississippi...

* Until 1100 PM CDT.

* At 1026 PM CDT, a tornado producing storm was located near
Starkville, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This tornadic storm will be near...
Tibbee around 1035 PM CDT.
West Point around 1045 PM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

Debris signature seen on radar as the tornado passed just east of Starkville.
