Nearly all that rain happens between the 24th and 28th. Nearly 24” in Van Zandt county. Obviously too far out to pinpoint such a small location but a setup like that could dump some series totals on someone. Widespread 2-6” totals with a swath of 6-12” is pretty wild.

lol, Longview with 1.9, Tyler with 3-4 inches and Canton with 20 plus. That would be something.

Looks like FWD just broad brushed 20% pops for most of N. Texas for tonight into this weekend. I would think they will have to update those after the 12z model runs today?

Some combo of storms from the ongoing convection in OK and the new storms firing off the dryline might make their way into DFW later on tonight. Fingers crossed :D

Right now the Red River is like a roadblock!

Yes, not making much progress at the moment. Unfortunately. A little breezy.

The Oklahoma complex seems to be making some pretty good progress towards DFW. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

It seems like it's been forever since DFW got a decent batch of storms! Also, 3k NAM nailed this from a few days out.

Not bad for the night before the summer solstice and a forecast of 20-30% pops

That line out west near Abilene is impressive. This current activity in DFW may stabilize the atmosphere for it to survive, but I would love a round 2 in a few hours.

The Euro has plenty more to come especially to our east and south. It's been hinting at some crazy totals coming up from the Gulf for several days now

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area through 4 AM.
