Some of the live oak trees seem to be doing a heftier than usually Spring leaf drop. I expect to see more taking flight today with these storms. The leaves not the trees. :-)

Yup, that storm came out of no where. I called the FWD NWS and said we are getting hammered out here with wind and quarter size hail. 5 min after that the warning came out. Not saying it was me but it quickly went from a slight rain, to pea size hail, to wind and spiked quarter size hail. Quite the storm.

You likely helped them out on putting out the warning . . .

I've sent a storm report Last December for Heavy Snow & 10 minutes after that report, a Winter Weather Advisory came out for this area for up to 1 inch of snow, but I got 1.5 inches . . .

Have you heard of the saying of localized totals may be higher??

True, but I was in the bullseye zone with 1-2 inches per hour! With near White-out conditions . . .

It almost seems like I'm the bullseye for snow & maybe storms . . .

Careful what you wish for. I can already hear complaints of heat in the distance. However, I think that March will be rather dynamic, especially towards the end of the month. This season seems to be one that should be watched for late-season cold too. I am not throwing in the hat for spring all the way yet.

Some interesting tweets from Joe Bastardi regarding a potential cold snap between mid March and early April. Hmmmmm we shall see. Oh and happy spring everyone!!

Haha, best of luck. My family and I have a running joke that if there’s ever severe weather in north Texas that the Wichita Falls area always gets in on the worst of it.
