A few members mentioned that a separate thread for large severe weather outbreaks would be better rather than filling up the storm season thread. First outbreak is 3/25/2021.

This event I believe will be larger than the last. Also the first discrete cells should show up very soon!

Will the ongoing rain/storm over Alabama hamper the severe threat? Just curious if it will work over the atmosphere before the main event has a chnace to get started

The ongoing stormy weather over northern Alabama is forecast to move out of the area to allow more discrete forms of storm development to occur and trek through the region.

It should be out of the area by 2:00 EDT. That is when this outbreak really will start going.

Didn’t see this til now, but when the topic came up I thought we were talking about having a separate thread when a particularly severe event came up. For example, 3/17 would have had its own thread, and then today would have had its own separate thread as well. But no worries, if this thread is where everyone wants to post, it works for me

Anybody think a 2011 type super outbreak is possible? My opinion is yes but not probable. Also i wanted to make a comparison between the Brent/ Greensboro twister and the 2011 Campbell EF5.
