Spring spoiled us with the cool weather and literally overnight it’s dead summer. Can it be late fall already?

This sucks but I don’t think it’ll stay this way. After 8 or 9 days, the gfs is somewhat consistent in showing some level of troughing out west and intermittent rain chances the last 5 days of the run. If that holds, it won’t feel like fall, but it’ll be a lot better than what we’re dealing with now…

Looks like most of the tropical system moisture will miss us to the east but rain returns to portions of Texas early next week.

Yes. It looks like true summer weather is about to begin with daily afternoon rain chances.

Yes. Looks like average July weather. Maybe a chance of slightly above-average precipitation. Sounds good to me if that happens.

Cat 5 Alert in the Gulf  but in all seriousness that’s probably more like a 3 or 4. Not sure if a cat 5 would be as high as 945mb.

It will be short and sweet. Humidity levels start to increase Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Ready for the storms. OKC is 60 degrees currently with rain.

Yep. There are few summers when this does not happen. At least we are now on the countdown to autumn! Honestly, so far meteorological summer has not been that bad. It's been hot, but nothing too crazy. Hopefully it will stay that way.

There is at least another cool shot coming end of the week/weekend and maybe another after. Ridge over the Northeast Pacific (EPO) vs on the west coast tends to drive troughs into the central US.
