Interesting line of light rain moving through east Texas that formed somewhere east of Ft Worth.

The weather has actually been really nice yesterday and today since the dew points dropped. Walked an hour last evening in 90 degrees with a 61 dp, and with the strong wind we didn't even feel like we were sweating. 92 and 59 dp now feels pleasant. One of those days where I'm glad I don't live on the stickier side of the Metroplex, I see the dp is 6 degrees higher in Dallas (but 65 is pretty good for there.)

Lower dewpoints today does make it more tolerable. Of course other side is less moist air heats up more. Hopeful trough still on the horizon!

The storms are creeping this way. Will they or won't they? Hmmmm. The progression seems a bit to far SW. Good rains though for some folks.

No warning but that cell crossed the Red River and overtook the outflow boundary and then hooked up real fast like.

The 00z FWD sounding has plenty of CAPE but CIN is already starting to increase. The storm motion out west has been erratic and there aren't really any signs of an MCS trying to form.

Well a little cell fired just west of me. May just be enough to make it feel hotter if it gets here. Lol

Might be firing off the outflow. Looks like it is headed for the airport.

The storms up here yesterday evening dumped anywhere from 0.1 - 3.0”. Golf ball sized hail seemed to be the average. Area of WF got hammered with significant hail damage.

Ensembles are in pretty good agreement that we are going to see a pattern flip and return to active weather for Texas.

Also, the 00z Euro Op was pretty nice to Texas

Pattern needs to change soon. I have had about 2 inches of rain since April 1 and less than 10 inches since January 1. That is about 10-15 inches below normal for my area. Everything outside is looking really stressed now and I am having problems with pests like armadillos and deer causing destruction so it feels like all of nature is attacking me right now. Lol

I’ve only had about 6” here since January 1st.

Some power strain on the grid with plants tripping off per ERCOT. Heat wave is currently stressing the grid so they're urging to conserve this weekend and next week.

DFW currently in the running for top 5 hottest May on record. Probably got a decent shot at #1.

But I thought they fixed the power issues :spam:

Also considering it's the first heat wave of the summer and it's only May yeah not good

Back to weather for a minute still looking like there might be a decent front next weekend we'll see if it holds up
