I feel for you guys. I was driving west for work this past week and it looks really bad. For us in the cities we can always look at it from a it could be worse standpoint but for those living off the land it is already the worst, what many don't understand.

I'm afraid long term there isn't much improvement if you take all into account until this PDO and Nina decouples.

We all try and prepare for years like this but never are able to prepare enough. Paired with one of the worst hay harvests in many many years, it’s getting/is scary.

The Euro seems locked in? (I remember when you could take a 4-6 day forecast from the Euro to the bank lol) It brings a weak TD / vort max into S. Texas in 3/4 days and then drifts it northward. The landfall area could really use the rain but then the track north is basically right along the drought line and would increase the difference between the "haves" and "have nots" even more so.

Curious if the WPC will put weight into the EC. GFS and CMC are much less, maybe they will split the difference? Forecast would be remarkably different between the model suites.

84 degrees here and a breeze. I could live with this all summer. Our LOW yesterday was 82...

Scattered rain starting to pop up along a wide Graham-Abilene-Odessa axis. I assume along the incoming front.

Edit: And a nice popup over Corinth.

Beautiful thunder shower here in north Irving. Thunder caught me by surprise as I was listening to some music. The sun was shining the entire time. Weather nerd taking hold, but I love that. Bring on fall..

:uarrow: Getting the rain too just beautiful!

GFS on board with the NW gulf feature getting closer to Euro. Would extend rain chances through end of the week!

Just got back from my beach vacation in Gulf Shores. My lawn is being burnt to a crisp. Will have to get the sprinklers rolling because this popcorn hit-or-miss is full of miss.

Cooler temps but no rain. Sad. Only the mean fire ants that appeared in the yard recently seem to be enjoying Summer 2022.

Models have trended a bit eastward so not too much along I-35. So a few days of near normal temps before July4th week heatwave. Those along the coast and I-45 on east as it stands looking more likely with rain. Could change.

For those not getting rain, today should be coolest day of the week.

I'm seeing the radar light up to my south in the San Marcos to San Antonio areas, with a couple of severe t-storm warning boxes, hail and wind. Might be trying to form up here.

It's 100 degrees at my place. That should provide nice fuel I would think.

So close, yet so far! :lightning: :rain: :lightning: :rain:

Decent outflow collision over Austin. Should see some decent totals in localized areas

I've sadly recorded 100°F twice a few days ago, but it fell to the 60s this morning! And the high was only 84°F

No storms, they're so dodgy of me!

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

94F today at DFW normal is 93. Actually felt pleasant. If it was like this everyday of summer no complaints.

Surprise surprise. SA missed out on the rain again today. 10 inch rainfall deficit for the year keeps growing. Brutal.

Oh man. So sorry. I seriously thought we would get 0" based on how it was going earlier. We've gotten a couple rounds, and it's still raining off and on at 10pm! Up to 0.88"!
