Fingers crossed! That sounds amazing!

The models are zoning in around the 20th. 850mb temps are showing below normal, so it might be real. Even if half is correct would be nice. Perhaps a taste of early Fall? North America's +PNA signal looks like a mid latitude Nino-y pattern.

This would be phenomenal if it holds because it is about to get hot again after the rain chances are done in a few days. It matches with climo though with the averages starting to drop soon.

We still have about ~week of the ridge in place but there are some changes happening in the WPO (northern West Pacific). Deep Aleutian low is complete opposite of the ugly Aleutian ridge pattern.

Seems like the front/outflow has already cruised on through and is booking south - just like here in Longview - so while there could be storms later I'm not going to hold my breath. 70% chance may be wasted today. Hope others can get lucky.

CPC is very hopeful, and storm chances for DFW possible for several days as well.

But me? I only got a trace, the storms are so dodgy, even though that just to the NW of town, there was a microburst a couple days ago.

Rain all over the place but it looks like the DFW airport will be able to stay dry again lol

Outflow kicking out now. Hopefully I get rain again before they die…

But probably will not last long.

Crazy how many dead leaves are blowing around.

Nah, the streak should end today. Several outflow boundaries causing storms to pop up around the area. HRRR has been indicating this over the past few runs.

Looks like that second boundary to cross the airport kicked off a storm! The streak is dead! (maybe, have to wait for the official report)

0.08" at DFW so far. The last of the remnant summer streak falls for the airport.

The front looks like it's on the way to SA! Nice and blue back to the north :D

The pattern matures after the medium range. Late August could be really nice with blocking on both coasts.
