With the 1630z Day One Outlook, the SPC pretty aggressively expanded the Slight Risk farther south into TX/AR/N LA. I wasn't expecting that.

West coast trof in June is definitely beneficial for NW flow.

The 18z HRRR is looking pretty decent for storms across N TX this evening/overnight coalescing into a loosely organized MCS diving towards SE TX/LA. :flag:

Getting a pretty heavy downpour with some thunder. Caught me and my daughter off guard.

Is it my eyes or does that cell east of Decatur have a hook?

Over 0.50" for DFW airport. Packed quite a bit of rain for such a small storm. Jackpot. Dewpoints were well in the 70s. Tropical like rains.

I saw this morning we had a good chance overnight in DFW. But, these day storms were a shock.

Wow I don't remember the last time SA had rain totals of over 0.50 inch. I don't think the Hill Country has jackpotted with rain once this year.

Looks like another cell is going to move over the airport. DFW cashing in after the last system some how dumped over an inch more at Love.

Ha actually underperforming here so far but we did have over 9 inches in May so I'm not really that upset

The bigger news is the clouds and drizzle and have kept temps in the 70s on the first day of June and tomorrow and Friday will be even better since the humidity clears out. Can't beat that this time of year and also even next week when it warms back up... Nothing over upper 80s at worst. I can live with that all summer

I've driven by the station several times, the official site location on the southeastern end of the airport very close to Bush in Irving, so this latest batch is heavier but missing it a bit.

So we didn’t rain IMBY but it is nice and cool now. I will take that since we may have an MCS tonight.

It was dunping on the tollway south towards 183 earlier. Big fat drops helping with the rates.

2.06" so far at the airport. Small cluster but delivered quite a bit for DFW. This was definitely a summer gulf coast style event. Localized but slow moving deep moisture rich environment.

Damn. Love Field and Collin County has been scoring the shots the last several months. Nice to see the other half of the metro getting soaked on

Weather geek and a storm spotter in West Austin. Not a degreed meteorologist. Big snow fan. Love rain and cold! Despise heat!

I’m getting really annoyed right now, the storms collapse before it reaches my house! The line this morning fell apart just before getting here. :grr:

It looks like 1.94" was the daily record. That 2.06" would also get the yearly deficit under 5".
