Getting some real good rain here in West Houston today. Probably not the best day to be sight seeing.

3.53 inches fell at the Rain Cave from the last few days (starting last Saturday) Got some lighter rain overnight so that is not included as I have yet to check, but I doubt it's very much. Glad there are at least daily chances for rain and exciting to see increasing chances as we head into next week.

The weather pattern has successfully reversed. Ensembles continue to show a Nino-esque ridge/trough configuration with trough pulling back even more from GOA to the Aleutians. This allows weakness to continue over the southern plains and keep temperatures normal to below normal. We should see a couple of fronts try the next few weeks.

SOI is negative today, it has been back and forth but that is much improvement from the long, strong + streaks.

Yeah, I can see that. But we need the moisture so bad here in central Texas. My eyes were drawn to the blues and greens.

Especially when we needed a pattern change the most! I'll never forget the day it reached 112°F in July. :onfire:

I realized I mistakenly put the 6 to 10 day precip map twice.
I just changed it to 8 to 14.

Hopefully we do better up here... Last event was a bust

But I do notice my entire forecast temps go down each day after tomorrow(which is still way lower than it was a few weeks ago) Fall is coming

Yep! That also means more storms and "State Fair Storms"

And yes, it did bust here too, but I was afraid of that when Dallas was getting absolutely drenched. Current Damage estimates are around $6 Billion.
