Friday could be really nasty, and then more next week.

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

Overall a massive area of severe weather for Friday, with a double moderate risk now on the new Day 2 outlook. Southern one includes a 15% hatched tornado area and the northern one is for a 45 hatched wind area. Also a 10% hatched tornado area for the northern part as well.

Reed Timmer, PhD
@ReedTimmerAccu
The bright colors of the significant tornado parameter (STP) on Friday afternoon northern IL, eastern IA, southern WI show how insanely conducive for fast-moving tornadoes this northern mode will be just ahead of the surface low track. Meanwhile, the UP of Michigan is going to get hammered by big snow on the cold side of this system

There is clearing in the warm sector in Missouri and Illinois, this is something that you want to never ever see on a setup like today.

SPC is expecting to upgrade to high risk at the next update. They just put up an MD for it.

I've been wondering when a setup like this was going to come along again, feels like a generation. This is the type of day where I may not have time to eat; 20+ TWs at once certainly possible with this.
