Starting in 2017, every odd year has had at least 1 high risk day, while the even years have had none. It will be interesting to see if 2023 continues that pattern or not

I’m very glad I’m not trying to connect through ATL today. The ground stop is going to lead to a service recovery mess when they were probably not back to 100% after yesterday’s NOTAMs ground stop.

The current severe weather conditions for today look pretty nasty. 10% hatched (EF2+ possible) tornado risk in the entire Enhanced risk area, followed by 30% wind in a corridor from roughly south/southeastern Louisiana all the way to the western FL Panhandle. There's also a 15% hail risk in southeastern Texas with the rest of the areas in the severe risk having a 5% hail risk.

All in all this really isn't looking good.
