It got upgraded to EF-3, which was confirmed from the Damage Assessment Toolkit.

The tornado which struck Pasadena on Tuesday was certainly tragic and uncommon for our area, but strong tornadoes are not unheard of here. Back on Nov. 21, 1992, there was a very significant tornado outbreak across our area. A large F-4 tornado (a mile wide) cut a 30-mile path across nearly the same area (just a little north). The wife and I were biking near Sealy that day. Had to take shelter as a much smaller tornado passed very near us. No cell phones with radar apps back then.

I am more concerned for this Spring Storm Season compared to last year because the drought in the SW is much weaker compared to last year.

Possible Severe Weather on the horizon.

Andrew Berrington
@ahberrington
With a recent shift in ensemble guidance towards a lead trough lifting further northwest and with more separation between waves, the door to a potentially significant severe threat appears to be opening across the Southeast around 2/15-16.

Yeah, this is looking ugly.

I looked at the SREF on the SPC. The Derecho, STP, and Supercell Composite Parameters are high. Tonight is going to be very rough.
