Some of those people NW of the SA metroplex are probably going to wake up to flakes falling and freezing temps. SA temps may drop enough to allow maybe some mixing possibly

Soon, severe weather season will end and we have the nice warm days of summer. Such a pretty map with lots of orange colors.

Such a nice day to get outside and go on a long bike ride. Houston won't be reaching the 60s until Tuesday afternoon. Nice spring weather!

Yes, great weather. I'm waiting for the heavier freezing cold rain to start before I head out. This kind of weather is useless. Stuck inside all weekend.

Overall had some minor hail damage to the car and house from the latest storm Thursday, insurance. This is the third time since 2010. I could go about never seeing another supercell in my life again.

That sadly appears to be unlikely.

If you were able to exclude those few days in March of 2021 where the SOI was temporarily negative, this 3 year SOI Consistently Positive stretch would be the longest positive stretch in SOI history dating all the way back to 1899 when they first began analyzing this index. Like I said before, hopefully this falling trend of the SOI will be an indicator that our region will see overall better rainfall accumulations over the forthcoming months and through the remainder of this year into 2024.

And hopefully this multi year La Niña & positive SOI stretch is an indication that this Cool Phase or Negative PDO has peaked and we starting trending towards a Warm Positive PDO Phase over the next decade.

I was out at the rodeo yesterday and it wasn’t even cold out there. I had on a long-sleeve shirt with a long-sleeve button up over that and my back was sweating during the afternoon when the sun was out. Left my jacket in the truck. Didn’t even need it.

I’ve only had hail here at my house maybe 3 times my entire life and the biggest was probably quarter size. We rarely ever get any severe storms in my location.

A beautiful morning here in the Red River Valley! Looks like 28 is the low here in Denison. Maybe it’s the last freeze until next winter.
