Something isn’t right atmospherically up there.

Only to reform to rain towards me, I think there may be a literal DFW Force Field.

Just imagine DFW gets into a severe drought, for that! :spam:

Of course it was splitting around us too until Friday Night so who knows(even if that wasnt anything severe) The snow hole in January and several events since...

If the blob to the southeast can hold together and doesn't magically split in two or die at the doorstep, DFW could be in business.

Got 0.70" here in North Dallas from the overnight shower which moved through most of Dallas Co around 2:00a. It's been drippy most of the day, and within the last 30 minutes some steadier rain and thunder. Quickly closing in on an inch for the day.

This weekend has been all kinds of busts. Got a bunch of nothing but beautiful mid-spring weather yesterday, and then today despite the TV mets saying "it won't be an all day rain - there will be several dry hours" I've had nothing but steady mist or rain virtually all day. Tough weekend for the prognosticators.

I guess the one big positive where the rain is underperforming is there's no extreme heat in sight... Hopefully we can delay that as long as possible

Yeah, I will take this over 100 degrees. But, I expect some extremely humid conditions soon even if the temp is down...

Holy downpour in Uptown... wasn't expecting sideways rain when I turned around to look out my window.

The Dallas County storm is a beaut. Pouring rain now.

Caught the storm in downtown Dallas and then followed it out to the burbs. There were trees blown down along the northwestern portions of Lake Ray Hub and flooding rain. Officially, DFW airport picked up 0.00" :grr:

Maybe the news storms firing along the cold front will deliver for the airport.

Looks like outflow kicked out so that’s that. No rain still here, and the storms are weakening.

Waco got good rain again though.

Wow, did it come a sudden flood last night in parts of Grayson County!

We picked up 2-3 inches in Denison and there was flash flooding north of the Red River when that storm complex moved into southern Oklahoma.

I've been missing out on most of the heavier downpours all month. This last week has been wet, with various storms/showers, but since May 1st I'm at 2.85" in Longview. We have another shot today and again on Friday night, but the latest GFS models don't look too promising for much rain IMBY through the end of May. I'll be OK with that as long as the rain doesn't shut off for the entire summer.

Don’t give up yet. It had been a little drier than I had expected here over the last few weeks. Then we had 2.4 inches of rain in about an hour last night here in Denison and right around three inches overall. A friend of mine had his house flood, so too much of a good thing.

I've gotten 2-3 inches in the past 7 days. (I forgot how much I got in the rain gauge)
