Texas Fall 2023

Earlier in the week, we had early morning cloud cover and north winds as storms swept through parts of Oklahoma. Almost felt like an early taste of fall.

So with that, and now three weeks from the start of meteorological fall, here it is, one of my favorite threads of the year, the official Texas Fall 2023 thread.

We’ll move over there in a few weeks on the opening day of dove season, on September 1st, when the meteorological autumn season finally begins. (Good riddance Summer 2023!!!)

Hopefully, our upcoming discussions will include some very beneficial fall rainfall across Texas, some strong and early cool fronts pushing through, and no lingering summertime heat.

We can all dream, right?

I like the pic. I've recently moved to Ruidoso N.M. from McKinney Texas (Early Jump to Retirement). However, I am still in the Landscaping Industry supporting North Texas. I will still be monitoring Storm2k for Fall/Winter weather which has "EVERYTHING" to do with early Spring. I'm glad to still have you guys here.

I hope so... But unfortunately I discovered the all time September and October high in Tulsa was set in 1939... Ironically the last time California had a landfall before this week doesn't seem to be a good thing for us

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the heat and drought stick around till October. I think drought conditions are gonna get a good bit worse yet before they get better.

Mid-September is the Oklahoma State Fair, so that seems to be accurate.

Wouldn't surprise me, because back in 2011 here, once it hit October, the rains came back and it cooled off permanently. Hoping for sooner than October however!
