Meanwhile I'm kind of wondering why this thread has been so inactive.

That tends to happen when every potential setup seems to underachieve or go bust altogether...

Major tornado outbreak in NE today along with a few in KS and TX so far. I'm honestly very surprised they kept this at 10# tornado area at the last update. Tornado emergency and very high-end tornado north of Omaha now

This extensive damage in Nebraska, has to be caused by a EF-3 or 4.

This was the tornado just north of Lincoln that crossed I-80 just recently:

The Harlan, IA tornado is one of the strongest I've ever seen on radar, velocity values are pretty much maxed out with an insanely huge debris ball

It’s impressive how long the Iowa tornado is staying on the ground.

For the Iowa tornado near Minden (and now Harlan), definitely a wedge tornado (likely EF4, radar estimates are 1/3 mile wide):

Unfortunately, as others have mentioned from the debris ball signatures on radar, quite a bit of destruction with this one:

Those cells SW of Des Moines have looked ominous for a while but haven't produced yet but I think that might change soon. I'd start paying attention if I were around Des Moines
