Hey, guys. This is my first post. Great board. So, do you all think that the California wildfires were a result of global warming or do you think it was just a particularly bad season we had. I think California has had these fires for thousands of years and will continue to have. I do think global warming may be playing somewhat of a role, however.
I live in San Francisco. Fortunately, none of the fires were even remotely close to us. But needless to say, it was heavily covered in our press anyway.

IMHO, global warming had nothing to do with it, but just the long-term drought that has plagued the region (not to mention, the hands of an arsonist/murderer) ...

Yep... I don't believe global warming had anything to do with it. But then again I am a skeptic when it comes to global warming in the first place so maybe I am not the most unbiased source.

wx i agree with u. i dont believe in global warming. i dont think it had anything todo with it.

The more research there is on Global Warming the more confident those against it may become.

And what gets me is that these murderers were men in their early 20's. it gives guys in their early 20's a bad name.

First of all, I do believe global warming is occuring and will be disasterous if nothing is done to curb CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions in the next half century. There's just too much evidence out there to be coincidental. However, the CA wildfires can't be attributed directy to global warming. But if this long term drought continues out west, then there might be a link there. I think just the timing was really bad with a couple fires starting right before the Santa Anas kicked in and just the incredible number of fires stretching resources beyond their capacity.

I live near the Fire Areas, and was spared thank god, but ALL of them were caused by an Arson....Someone knew that the Dry Santa Ana winds were coming, and hit the perfect time...Blazing fires were all near major freeways, and Highways is a major hint...
