.WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT.

A STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT IN THE WAKE OF YESTERDAYS STORMS WILL PRODUCE STRONG WEST TO NW WINDS THIS AFTERNOON. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE. SECURE LOOSE ITEMS OR BRING THESE ITEMS INDOORS. HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES SUCH AS SEMI-TRUCKS & TRAILERS SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION ESPECIALLY ON NORTH SO. HIGHWAYS. THE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO SUBSIDE BY AROUND 8 PM.

STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO.COMMERCIAL RADIO OR TELEVISION STATIONS.OR YOUR CABLE TELEVISION PROVIDER FOR THE LATEST IN WEATHER INFORMATION.

Exactly Joshua!! Enough is enough!!! Presently steady around 15-20 mph with gusts to 31 mph at the AWS site closest to my office.

There's also a wind advisory for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and surrounding cities in North Texas through tonight.

Where's my snow nazi sledge hammer!!!! :x :wink: Look what the wind blew in!!! :roll:

Speaking of wind- most sites in the city reporting winds sustained 20-30 with gusts ranging from 36-50 mph.

It's like a border line severe storm without the rain. Gusting to 40 here and there are some reports of it gusting to 50.

Now over 100,000 on the NE side of Houston without power!!!! We don't need this!!! :cry: Fortunately not affecting me yet.

Anyone up for cleaning up a mess?? Limbs and leaves everywhere. Fortunately only a few serious problems from the winds today, which did die down on schedule by 8 pm fortunately.
