I wouldn't be surprised if a "Severe Thunderstorm Watch" or even a "Tornado Watch" is issued for at least a portion of central Florida with this storm system.

The National Weather Service offices in Jacksonville, Ruskin (Tampa Bay Area) and Melbourne, FL have increased the potential of severe weather across the peninsula with guidance from the National Severe Storms Forecast Center in Norman, Oklahoma.

We will see what happens.

I know especially with howwindy it is outside. Like you said we shall see. I posted my discussion in another thread. They did say some strong storms

I cant belive how humid it is here today, if it werent for the wind it would have been a perfect beach day, we made it to 81...

Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a temperature rising to near 66 by 10am, then falling to around 56 during the remainder of the day. We had some moderately severe thunderstorms last night in Jacksonville between 9:30 and 10:30 pm. Loud thunder, lots of lightning, wind and picked up 1 and 1/10" of rain!! Way cool!

Most of the activity was to my south, down toward Orlando.

There were several few minute long downpours, mainly after midnight. I heard a few rumbles of thunder as well... but too bad I wasn't further south (and southeast) or those storms were further north. :-?

My rain gauge said 3 inches...and we had some nice storms Lost power for a bit..

I was debating whether or not to put southwest and/or south-southwest and south (and southeast) of me. -- but the south out of parentheses and the southeast in parentheses gives the southeast some indication.
