Convection Exploding south of Louisiana

Click how many frames you want, animate, and click just south of Louisiana. The forecast is for widespread rain amounts from 2-4" but possibly more in certain areas. The rain isn't supposed to end until tomorrow night. There is also the chance for severe weather so I'm anticipating an active night.

Hoping for the Sneaux also here in SE TX and ready for Mardi Gras 2004.
Massive cells offshore of S Central LA tonight......Look out Houma.
Looks like the we are getting lucky with the rainfall. We are on the far SW edge of the action. Numerous spotty local showers developing into strong storms to our NE headed your way.
Currently looks like the Houston-Galveston areas have escaped any serious weather this time. In fact the counties cover by Corpus Christi just to our SW have been dropped from the FFW.
Galveston Sneaux for Mardi Gras 2004......now thats the ticket

It's been raining on an off all ovening...looks like it's gonna be one heck of a wet night for those of us in South MS & LA!

LOL I don't think so but I wouldn't want to be driving around in New Orleans in a couple of hours after those storms move through houma

Those were some nasty looking storms last night. I also heard there was marble sized hail reported in Baton Rouge, but just on and off rain here with no big storms.
