I need a little help with my forecasting... but tell me if you think this is somewhat accurate.

Tommorow the low pressure system that was situated over the GOM will continue to move northeast, bringing the storm system over the Florida Penninsula. This movement will also bring some more svr weather into the SC area. A cold front will begin pushing through CA bringing rough seas and high winds to the area, and more snow in the higher elevations.

For my area (Raleigh, NC)...

Mostly cloud, temperatures will be in the upper 40s, with winds from the NE at 10-15mph, cloudy in the morning... clearing out during the daytime, and becoming cloudy again in the evening.

First of all...most folks aren't willing to stick their nexks out on a call...and I have a good amount of respect for that.

IMHO...I don't think severe wx will make it much past the GA/FL border...SC should be well on the other side of the action. A WX change for sure...but the weather compared to what is further south should be rather quiet.

for severe in SC...the low would need to develop and pass well to the northwest of that location. Given the current position of the players on the map...this seems unlikey.

Thanks... I'm still waiting to see how all of this will continue to unfold, and now I realize that I was wrong about SC. Your right, it probably wont make it past the GA/FL border. But yea, I'm just starting out in forecasting (just by looking at wx maps) and any tips/links would be a big help. I'm still debating if I should chase this spring, but I figured given the circumstances I would just stay around here and spot for Skywarn unless of course there is a huge severe wx outbreak in the Carolina area. I've really only seen a handfull of supercells here, and the most amazing day that I can remember to date would be May 9th, 2003.
