showers and thunderstorms yesterday and have been having thunder and rain for the past 1-1/2 hours.

This is definitely needed moisture for this area. It is still raining lightly as I type, we had some moderate rain a few minutes ago.

has done well so far this year-March was our third wettest with 1.30in of rain and as of tonight we have 3.48in YTD which is well above normal to date. However, the rest of Arizona has not necessarily shared in all of this since several of the rain events this year have been confined to SE AZ.

We received about 1/3" from this evening's storms. More may be in the cards tomorrow (today) as chances look good that more showers and thunderstorms will start in the mountains and deserts; and then make their way to the coastal areas.
