It's 57+ inches here in Beaumont area. I found one link quoting NWS as saying 65 inches, but I can't find anything to confirm that. Everything I'm finding is a little more than 57 inches. If anyone knows of a better source than the following, please post it.

I also did searches for my city.

I went to that exact same page through my University (Unversity of NEbraska-Lincoln).
In the Omaha area, my annual precip. is about 43 to 45 inches, depending on the reporting site.

in the valleys its around 15 inches with a range of 13-18 inches. At the house I average 17.58in. About 65% of our average rainfall falls between July 7th and September 7th-the monsoon during which time we also get 90% of our average of 86 observed thunderstorms.

Here in the vast deserts of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan (OK just joking) the annual precipitation is only 32.5 inches. It's a cloudy place but somewhat dry compared to Columbus and Indianapolis, and Pittsburgh. Also it's kind of dry due to lack of lake-effect snow.

Locally, it's 50.44" (Summerville) and at the Charleston WFO (located in North Charleston) it's 50.50" annually ...

the Eastern US DOES get Drought from time to time (including PA). By definition, Drought exists when the monthly rainfall is 65% or less than normal monthly rainfall for 12 consecutive months. Although that would still be more than what we average in a year, the effects are similar since the flora in the area is used to much more rainfall and the storage capacity in the area is not adequate to make up for years of below normal rainfall. Additionally, the population load of the Eastern US puts a major strain upon available water resources when rainfall is subnormal-same as it does here though admittedly you don't have golf courses which blow 1.5 million gallons of ground water each day like California does (which is a wastrel state when it comes to water-especially SoCA).

I'd guess tropical influences have inflated the August norms.. anyhow, average back home (btw. Richmond and Williamsburg) is about 44" and here in Blacksburg it's about 41". July is wettest for RIC, with over 5" on average. Average snow at home is ~13" and ~25" here in RNK. Somewhere in NW VA recorded over 90" of precip last year... training summertime t-storms can put down a lot of liquid!! I believe we ended with nearly 60" back home..
