Went from Hurricane force winds to SUMMER in one day!

It appears the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix and most low laying desert areas) will crack the 100° mark ALL week, we'll be in the lower to mid 80's for the rest of the week

Went from a fire in the PBS during the late evening hours to crankin' up the A/C, don't ya just LOVE spring time

the progs indicate that the out period beyond 7 days will be windy again. This is May and May is windy here.

Boy Steve, your like a "Fly on the butter!" "LOL! Just kidding, I know......I saw that. OH, went out SAR training yesterday up at 8000', just 3 short weeks away, there was OVER 2' of snow left, NOW........"Phhhft!" It's SO dam dry, you scuff back the duff under the trees, it's not only dry, it's DUSTY! USDA Forest Service is talking about closing the forests up here in 2 weeks, hope to Hades it's NOT TOO late!

Bottom line is this. We have the ridge slowly shifting east later this week and a trough
dropping south along the coast. The pattern shifts eastward with time only slowly so we will remain in the SW wind gradient between the two for most of next week. As the flow will be out of Mexico and the heights fall only slowly te winds will be hot and dry with RH values dropping below 10%. Expect to see Red Flags starting Sunday.
