Got severe storms breaking out in MD & DE today.

Have had a severe thunderstorm warning for my location here by the beach already. Got several large storms going in MD, VA and DE. At this point there is no watch boxes out east of the aps but some especially in the MA can expect a few strong to severe storms today. Have a nasty storm that is severe near Baltimore, MD and another one just to the nw of there. Tomorrow looks to be alot more active in this party of the country.

Be careful KOW!!! They do look ugly!

I guess the front is right over your area? I know it's coming back up my way tomorrow, thus the threat of storms then and the rest of the week.

SEVERE WX in Baltimore,

Severe thunderstorms occurred earlier today with near damaging wind gusts. The biggest threat was blinding rains, near zero visibility, deadly and frequent lightning and hail up to dime to quarter sized. I spotted dime sized hail here in southeastern Baltimore County just before 5 PM EDT.

More severe wx has developed in Howard County and into Charles County in Maryland. More storms could develop into Baltimore point south into the southern suburbs throughout the evening.

I'll show you all pictures a bit later tonite.

We actually did have a thunderstorm at my house before I got home. I could see the clouds darken on my way from work and then I noticed the puddles. I'm glad Marty remembered to shut the windows!

Anyway, I turned on TWC and saw on the radar that there was a cell right over my area, but it has since weakened.

Yesterday's storms were more severe than I thought. Many parts of my county had 2 inches of rain, flash flooding and a few houses in a nearby town were struck by lightning!

Looks like I just missed a good one!

Amazing stuff to say the least. There was one point when the storm just peaked in intensity when we saw blinding rains, dime sized hail, and rearflank downdraft wind gusts to 40-50 mph. So that rain and hail was blowing sideways and causing problems. Lots of puddles. There was also frequent dangerous lightning. I'll show those pictures later tonight.

More severe is possible this afternoon and evening across the Middle Atlantic area with hail and high wind the main threat. This threat could last into the night tonight potentially until well past dark.
