That thing on weather.com where it calls your cell phone and tells you any watches/warnings etc... Ok, I got the free trial, and I want to cancel it. HOW DO I CANCEL THIS STUPID THING?! I go on weather.com and try 'signing in' but it doesnt even say my account exists (and yes I put the credit card in.. and actually got a few calls last saturday during the severe weather)... if I don't get this cancelled, it's going to keep charging me... ugh...

When I can purchase a NOAA Weather Radio for $30 to 40 one time, why would I even think of getting Notify! or similar service--fee or no fee? I am not very familiar with Notify!, but I bet it has some kind of spyware connected with it. It basically is just another advertising ploy by TWC.

what good is notify when you've lost power and phone? stick with wx radio...
random thought: if you got zapped by lightning on a land line upon answering a notify call during severe wx, could you sue TWC?

I have it text message my cell phone (Sprint PCS).
I got the notification that my county was under a Tornado Warning before the TV persons got it. I got the notify message and it still took the sirens a good 3-4 minutes before they went off. Since I tend to be where my weather radio isn't quite often, this service works as a quick piece of mind.

Brian, there isn't any spyware involved with it, because I had it calling my cell phone. My phone rang a few times for different watches and warnings for our county, it worked fine... only thing I was frustrated with was that when I registered, I messed up typing my e-mail address... so thank God for autocomplete! I definitely missed a C in my email. No wonder most websites ask you to type your e-mail twice.
Oh, and it's a good service, cuz most people don't take their NOAA radio in the car or to someone's house with them. With a cell phone, this is possible.
