Looks like Fort Worth, Arlington, and the rest of Tarrant County got off easy tonight -- thankfully.
Reports of minor home damage and some fairly significant damage to some mobile homes. Lots of reports of minor wind damage all over the metro area. Power outages now seem to be the biggest problem, along with flash flooding.
I am at work, and my house is at I-20 and 287. Thank God nothing hit my house. She was there by herself tonight. Was kinda helpless knowing she was there when they reported a Tornado on the ground near our house!
I guess the NOAA guys will come out tomorrow and decide if the scattered damage in the area was straightline winds or a tornado.
I have a hunch they may decide it was an f0 or f1 since the police scanner and ham radios were going nuts with chatter about a funnel on the ground.

WOW Glad everything is OK at your house! Let us know about the damage in your area. (I saw a funnel pass before my house about three years ago. It was very scary. There was lots of tree damage and some roof damage to homes in the area.)
UPDATE -- more significant damage!

If we have roof collapses at major businesses, that must be either some really strong straight line winds, or maybe an f1?
Damage reports seem to still be coming in. Also -- Baseball size hail tonight in Northeast Tarrant county. I am starting to be convinced that Tarrant County is the hail capital of Texas!

Just checked out the radar from that time before I saw your post about one on the ground then. There was a definite hook in the storm right where you said they spotted it.
