MUDSLIDES CLOSE SOUTHBOUND HWY 169 FROM ST. PETER TO BLUE
EARTH COUNTY LINE. 5-7 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN.

More rain expected later this week as of 6:11 PM 9.2 inches of rain has fallen......HWO says....DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL WILL BE
POSSIBLE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING AS A STRONG COLD FRONT PLOWS
INTO THE STATE. VERY WARM AND HUMID AIR WILL PRECEDE THE FRONT...
ESPECIALLY OVER THE SOUTH AND WEST CENTRAL PORTIONS OF MINNESOTA.
MORE HEAVY RAIN COULD FALL...AND EXACERBATE CURRENT FLOODING PROBLEMS.

by the end of the weekend I wouldn't be surprised if we have over 13 inches of rain :(

Mudslides in the Prairies? Where would it slide to? It's not like it could go downhill or anything.

But yeah, that's a ridiculous amount of rain.

I was thinking the same thing about the mudslides in MN. But anyway, that's alot of rain!

The bluff above Spring lake (which is now overflowing) is one of the many places that had 4 or 5 mudslides only 2 blocks from my house the long way

Ahh yes.. nice pic of the river valley..with the Canadian Geese and fall colors in MN. 8-)

It's gently rolling farmland above the Minnesota river valley with real black soil that readily flows and blows from one field to the next. The Jolly Green Giant use to guard the valley. :eek:

Same story here in Wisconsin... especially in the southern wisconsin region. Portions of HWY 41 in southern Winnebago/Northern Fond Du Lac counties was closed this morning due to the flooding... more rains expected to continue through the day.
