SEVERE WX/FLOODING near Baltimore

A tornado warning was in effect for Fredrick County, Maryland in effect until 7 PM EDT. At 6:28 PM, doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm with a developing tornado 2 miles north of Libertytown moving east southeast at 15 mph. This tornado should have been past Libertytown. It continues to track east southeast at 15 mph. Areas in the path of this storm include Liberty Reservoir, Reisterstown, Pikesville, Owings Mills, Towson, Woodlawn, and Baltimore City through the next hour.
Seek shelter on the lowest floor of your sturdy building if severe tstm or tornado warnings are issued. Mobile homes should be evacuated. If you cannot go into a sturdy building, seek shelter in a culvert or ditch and cover your head and neck with your arms.
In addition, a flash flood warning is in effect for these areas. Rainfall rates of 2-4 inches per hour are likely in this region. Go to higher ground if flooding is occurring in your area. Remember to turn around don't drown. Most people that die in flood waters die in their automobiles because they're driving through flood waters, Don't take any chances.
