Much needed relief for parts of FL.

Have some bigtime storms going in and around FL with the most active one just to the west of Daytona Beach around Chad's area.
This is nice to see!

FLOOD STATEMENT
Warning Issue Date: 600 PM EDT SUN JUN 20 2004
Warning Expiration: 730 PM EDT SUN JUN 20 2004
...Urban and small stream flood advisory effective for northeastern
lake and western volusia counties until 730 pm edt...
At 600 pm edt weather service doppler radar indicated between two
and four inches of rain had fallen in about an hour from near astor
to barberville...And along state road 40 and u.S. Highway 17 in rural
northwest and north central volusia county.
Another inch or two of rain May fall in the advisory area...Before
the storms die down this evening. Temporary inundation of roads...
Culverts...And other poorly drained low lying areas is likely.
If you cannot see the road or its line Markings do not drive your
vehicle through the water. The water depth May be too great to allow
your car to cross safely. Only two feet of water can make most
vehicles buoyant and prone to being swept away.

Issue Date: 629 PM EDT SUN JUN 20 2004
Expiration: 715 PM EDT SUN JUN 20 2004
...Strong storms capable of producing wind gusts up to 45 mph and
frequent to excessive lightning continue over northeastern lake and
inland volusia counties...
At 627 pm edt...National weather service doppler radar indicated a
large cluster of storms capable of producing strong wind gusts and
frequent to excessive lightning from cassia...Debary and lake ashby
to deland and tiger bay state forest. The storms were moving slowly
southward.
Residents in this area should remain indoors until the storms weaken.

Nice to see y'all getting rain down there. We only had a shower today with the biggest storms staying off to the west. Rain chances look to remain high for the next several days...hopefully it will keep the heat down

Guess Florida is living up to its reputation as being the Lightning Capitol of the United States tonight. Geez...thats whole heck of a lot of strikes! Stay safe everyone down there.

Miami-Dade county has really been stiffed on the t-storms so far this rainy season. There hasn't been much relief down here at all....what's the deal?
