LOL! You're definitely a Yankee, aren't you? It's only July and you're asking when the heat wave will end? :)

We can experience temperatures in the 90's all the way into October, there's a long haul ahead! The summertime afternoon thunderstorms are what make the heat somewhat bearable around here, and those haven't been around this week so alot of people are complaining  .

I chose cold because cold down here is when it gets into the 30's to 50's. :D I can still work in that if I need to whereas when it is 95º outside with 50% humidity my buttinski is in the AC!!!!

We had one of those passing tstorms yesterday evening PT and it took us from 96º down to 78º, which to say the least was much more comfortable.

I like the cold weather much more than hot weather. It has been hot here all summer (and early spring when we were in the 80s). I can't wait until it cools off.

If you want hot with high humidity just come to Houston!!

Predicted highs for the next few days are 98º and this is after a frontal passage on Sunday morning!!!

Same story with the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

Yuck! I do hate the hot weather and in 2 weeks I will be up in Rhode Island, hopefully getting away from the Texas heat! But you know its going to be my luck that this hot weather follows me up there...

All I know is that if my little brother calls one more time to tell me that they're having a "heat wave" and it's 75 degrees there in Solana Beach (south of San Diego,) I'm driving all the way out there just to hurt him. Bad. :P

OH I'm dissapointed that there isn't more people for HOT!! Whats not to love about being able to swim everyday up here in Iowa, but then again you gotta love the snow here too, how many other states can have heat index's up to 115-125 in August, and have wind chills around -30 in the winter. I wish I could have voted for both.

ummm I can name one.........Minnesota!!!! your neighbor to the North but colder :D lol Home to 10,000 lakes ya know

My favorite!!........12 foot snow drift

The highest temperature recorded in Minnesota is 114°, Fahrenheit. This record high was recorded on July 6, 1936 at Moorehead and Moorehead is up North quite a bit

The lowest temperature in Minnesota, -60°, was recorded on February 2, 1996 at Tower

Monthly average temperatures range from a high of 83.4 degrees to a low of -2.9 degrees.

Now see why they call it land of 10,000 lakes and (swamps) lol

haha, thats why you have got to love it up here. I don't know the overall records for Iowa, will have to search for them. But you got to love those snow drifts, especially that one!!
