Tornado warning issued for northeast Miami-Dade

A tornado warning has been issued until 3:45 p.m. today for northeastern Miami-Dade County because of a strong thunderstorm near Miami International Airport.
The National Weather Service said the storm, "capable of producing a tornado," is moving northeast at 10 mph from Coral Gables and will affect the airport, Liberty City, opa-Locka, Virginia Key, Little Haiti and Miami Beach.
Severe thunderstorms have been reported around Miami-Dade and Broward this afternoon, with plenty of lightning, some dime-sized hail and strong winds, particularly in the Carol City and southeast Broward areas.
