most detailed forecast Ive ever seen..

NWS Wakefield must be really bored to issue a forecast like this....would have been simple to just say a chance of shwrs/tstrms
Rest of tonight. Cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms early this evening. Showers and thunderstorms likely late this evening. Then a chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Then a chance of showers after midnight. Showers likely early this morning. Lows in the lower 70s. South winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent

Basically speaking, thunderstorms are expected to diminish, with leftover rain/showers after midnight ...

Was this from the zone forecast or the pinpoint lat/long forecast(which i think are computer generated? Cuz sometimes the pinpoint is strange like that here as well---I prefer the zone forecasts which are straight from the Met. The Jax home page has the default set to pinpoint which if u click on a county, it gives u a forecast for a city--not the county which I hate.

Maybe we'll have some thunderstorms, then again, maybe we won't. Later tonight we might have some storms, maybe not.
Hey...if you see flashes in the sky....it (might) be lightning.
If you hear booms, could be thunder.
Best of all, if you stick your finger out the window and it gets wet, it is probably raining. Or your cat is spitting off the roof.
Yep, that's weather forecasting for you!!!

That sounds computer generated, but maybe not. The NWS as a whole is gradually training all Mets. at every NWSFO to generate forecasts digitally. They are having problem in some spots where the forecasts along boundaries of the WFO's are not matching up. This transition as a whole, might be affecting how Mets. word the text based forecasts. Just speculating.
For those who haven't seen an example of the digital data, check out the area forecast matrices for KAKQ:

This data in turn gets coded into the NDFD which appears on weather.gov
