I found this to be a VERY comprehensive and well-written Florida Dry season outlook for the coming year. It's a MUST READ for everyone.

I read that on my lunch hour at work today, and it was an awesome writeup and discussion ... kudos

I particularly like the fact that SOME of those Dry-season analogs also agree with those which we have proposed for the coming winter. Namely 1969-70, and 1977-78.

That was good reading alrighty..However.. It probably took me longer than a lunch hour.. I had to reread alot of it..

I'm sure it was worth it though. Took me about a half hour to go over when I read it. The outlook was presented very well and the time and effort which obviously went into putting it together (from the research phase to actually sitting down and writing it out) is deserving of recognition...So I decided to post a link to it in here.

The wait for the Newsletter was definitely worth it. Everyone who contributed did an excellent job--it was a great read.

According to CLIMO, yes. BUT El Nino years w/ an energeized and Sub-tropical Jet over the region tend to be quite wet. Take for Example DEC 1983, 1997, and 2002. near HISTORIC wetness in some areas.

Also not to mention the SVR wx outbreak of DEC 23-24 of 2002 which is more common in those years over the South.

Here are the Seasonal breakdowns of storminess and Rainfall totals (since 1960 for stomriness, and 1958 for rainfall)





Notice the Outlier seasons, 1982-83, 1997-98 (the two strong EL NINO winters) and 2002-03 (mod El NINO).

yeah, that is a GREAT looking lamborghini (the women which go w/ it--make it even better). WAY...WAY out of my price range, but still awesome nonetheless.
