Election Day Weather

Last presidential election I remember was very stormy back in 2000. I believe we also had some severe weather. Well take a look at the forecast for Tuesday. They have been mentioning the severe threat in the forecast dicussion too. Hopefully we don't have the political fiasco repeat as well.

When is the front suppose to move through Louisana? I think that they only have us in the slight risk.

NWS has changed their forecast to 90% chance of rain on Monday with a high near 81° and a low near 58°.

Election day will have a 20% chance of rain with a high around 70°. The low will be around 44!!!!!!Sounds great doesn't it? :)

Here we have 70% chances of rain today and tonight, and a 100% chance for tomorrow(meaning it DEFINITELY will rain Election Day).

Well, they changed the forecast again!

Today: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Mostly cloudy, with a high around 86. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Cloudy, with a low around 72. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Election Day: Occasional rain and thunderstorms, possibly severe,. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Chance of precipitation is 90%. High near 80. South wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Mostly cloudy, with a low near 62. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Yep the weather is looking downright terrible for election day. The real cool weather will hold off until Thursday night now as they are only forecasting the 50's after the first front.
