Okay - I'm okay here in northwest Harris County, and I still got power.
I also have a 101 temperature but that's not the fault of the storm!
Report in! Everyone safe and sound so far?

Doing fine in Spring Branch!! That was a rough 20 minutes or so, but it could have been much worse.

Highest gust recorded in my area appears to be 46 mph. So it looks like my 50 mph estimate was just about right.
Now 132,000 without power all over the metro area.

I'm alright now, after the bus drove through the storm. Not as severe, but lokks scary enough for me to say "What the heck was that?". The clouds got as dark as the night sky, yet nothin' was severe on the bus route I was on. It was just an area of light to moderate rain, although I've heard that the storm got on the edge of my hometown. A few hours later, after settling in for the night, another round of storms came through North Texas. They were severe when they hit the southern part of North Texas, but weakened as they hit my hometown.
My mom is doing alright as well. Although her work place went through a 30 minute power failure. One of her co-workers was stuck in the restroom, pitch black!

The highest gust here was 52mph. A lady was killed by a tornado to my north though.
