metro Jackson, Mississippi....TORNADO ALERT!!!

#1 Postby SouthernWx » Wed Nov 24, 2004 1:08 am

For those in the area around Jackson, Missisippi.....or have relatives living in that area....Hinds county, Madison county, Rankin county......LOOK ALIVE....

There are two impressive tornadic supercells approaching the Jackson area.....one over western Hinds county -- this one is going up the west side -- toward Madison county, Madison, Ridgeland, toward the Ross Barnett lake....

The second is between Jackson and Natchez, and is coming toward the city, and possibly Rankin county.....

Both have very impressive velocity couplets, and likely contain intense tornadoes....if you live there, take cover.....if you have loved ones there, now would be a great time to call them; awaken them and plead with them to take cover....this is very reminiscent of November 22, 1992 and November 24, 2001....an extremely dangerous situation unfolding!!!

Just glancing at that hook on the west side of Jackson, one would really figure that this could become a strong to violent tornadic supercell. This is a very dangerous life threatening situation in west and north Jackson, MS.
