Incredible situation developing in my area.

I live in Macon, Missouri. An area that is expected to recieve some of it's most severe weather ever tonight.
I normally like watching and being in severe weather (go figure), but I've never seen this kind of danger before.
My local weatherman, the NWS, and the SPC are using language I've never heard them use before.
The HWO Forecast is very grim, I'm sandwiched inbetween PDS Tornado Watches,
and the EAX office has issued something classified as a "special announcement",
stating that an outbreak of F4-F5 tornadoes that could equal, or even surpass
May 3, 1999 in intensity could affect Metro KC and the rest of Missouri eastward.
This is incredible.

Come 9-10PM, the Highest Risk will be over me.
I'll track the storms, and update you from the "front lines".
(Unless of course, a Tornado Warning is issued, in which case you'll find me in my basement.)
Normally, I would do stupid and risky things during a warning, such as going outside for a good look.
But this is too much. Going out for a good look at a mile-wide F5 is almost certain death, and not even I'm crazy enough to try it.
Anyway, I'll be back regularly with updates.
Later!

NOTE: If anyone wants to talk, I'll be in #storm2k all night unless the weather forces me to seek shelter.

This is a concerning event, that for sure. The radar didn't look too impressive earlier today even to mid-afternoon. Activity has really popped in the last few hours.

Beam you be safe and keep your guard up!! Another huge cell heading your way. I see at least one possible hook echo in it. It may go to Moberly or a little furhter S. The suspect portion of th estorm is between Centralia and Sedalia now and looks to be taking a more Easterly track, but the main part is still on a NE track. KEEP ALERT AND BE SAFE!!

Update: Tornado Warnings continue approx. 100 mi. SW of Macon due to an intensifying cell moving rapidly to the northeast at 50 MPH.
Funnel clouds have been spotted with this storm.
Unless the storm weakens... it will directly affect the Macon/Cairo/Moberly area before midnight.
My local ABC station is reporting that the SPC is thinging about issuing a PDS tornado watch for my area.
Watch for more updates.

Indeed.
While it looks as though it may pass to the south, the wind profiles indicate that this storm may turn towards the north again.

I was thinking that the storm may actually make a right turn (towards the ENE) but based on placement of the ULL and wind parameters, don't let your guard down just yet.

Bream, the map I'm looking at only shows Sedalia and Jefferson City. Whereabouts are you with respect to them?

Im 90-100 mi. NNE of the Sedalia/Jeff City area.
As for the cell that had me worried, it did NOT take a northerly turn, and has accelerated beyond the threat area.
However, statements from the SPC seem to indicate that, for some reason, the danger is not over.
I see no imminent threat, but something must be brewing.
Anyways, I have to go to work in the morning, and I'm tired from a long night of armchair stormtracking.
I'm setting up my Weatherradio and hitting the hay.
See ya tomorrow afternoon.
