Union City is in the path of a very strong and potentially deadly tornado. Very strong rotation has been indicated on the doppler radar and in fact 3 miles northeast of cogur is where the strong tornado has been confirmed.
This is a life threatening situation for union city and downtown okc. Take shelter underground NOW!!!!

I am amazed at how many large metropolitan cities have been raked this week! Starting with Kansas City, St. Louis, Nashville, Louisville, Atlanta, Charleston, and now OKC. I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple more. Not to minimize the danger to smaller towns, but watching a supercell make a beeline for a million people is doggone scary. :o

Looks like the worst of the supercell is passing just S of Tulsa. Looks like it is finally starting to weaken some too. I sure hope so!!! It needs to die and go away before anyone else is killed or injured!!!

The storm made quite a southeast turn after it nearly 90 mile track from north of Oklahoma City on it approach to Tulsa on I-44... to get south (and southeast) of Tulsa.
