A weak tornado (F0) was been classified in North Central PA on Sunday. The National Weather Service office out of State College has classified an F0 tornado touched down in Lycoming County. They issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the cell around 3:30 PM and at around 3:46 PM, upgraded the severe thunderstorm warning to a tornado warning. I have included the link to the write up of the event from the State College office's website. They have included 3 pictures of some of the damage as well as the radar image of the thunderstorm that contained the tornado.

That was when I was talking to my sister in Montoursville...I told her I saw the cell and thought it should be getting a warning..for rotation and it did :o It amounted to little more than some wind and thunder for her..as it passed north of her town in Lycoming county!!! I guess I am learning something LOL..

I went on line to weather central and saw the area was in a tornado watch..so I figured i'd check the radar..glad I did!!!

hey Tom! it's totally ironic for at the time this event was occurring, i was on the NWS State College site checking wx for McVeytown as i was making preparations for my trip so i saw the loops as they were happening... WIERD huh? anyways, currently i am in McVeytown PA just taking a moment to check in and for being away from PA for so long, in a word... WOW!!! today was spent namely puttering around the small mountain communities up here (in whatever county i am in) but tomorrow i hope to head down towards Mechanicsburg and then Harrisburg to see what's new. my family all says Harrisburg has done a complete turn around so i am anxious to see firsthand what a difference 6 years makes... p
