Just thought I'd share a few pics of the yard I once walked in...the one I now travel through by boat. These were taken nearly 2 hours ago and it's rained a lot more since then so I might take some more. I think it will just be deeper though...not sure what the difference in pics will be. There's also a streaming river in my backyard (ditch that is normally empty) that is flowing all this rain into Pine Island Bayou so it can come out of its bank later. I tried to take pics but they didn't come out well taken from the house and I'm not going out there. lol - I already got soaked this morning!

Btw, it's STILL raining hard. The intensity has let up a few times but mostly a hard rain.

That is kind of the way my yard is looking as well. I have not had nearly as much rain as you have, but with the ground still being froze below it is not allowing the rain to settle in. Some areas of my yard are flooded and many of the ditches are completely full with rain.

Radar shows some very heavy thunderstorms to your SW in NW Chambers and extreme SE Liberty Counties moving NE but it looks like to will be just S of Beaumont.

Here in League City SE of Houston we had only .50"

Just wait until we get the torrential Spring rains. With a weak El Nino yu can bet the Southern Jet will move copious amounts of Pacific moisture NE across the SW and S US in the upcoming months. Lots of river flooding down the road.

Yeah Kat...I hope those do go to my south. I've had enough today! It'll take forever to dry out. Pine Island Bayou was already high when I passed it about noon today...I can only imagine now. I've been watching it flow through the ditch behind my house all afternoon, toward the bayou. As long as it doesn't go over, I'm fine here. I hate when it goes over. I'm either stuck at home or stuck away from home.

It is an amazing looking "river" flowing through my backyard though. I wish I could post a video of it.

Anyway, here's a few more pics taken a little while after the ones above - not much difference, just a little deeper.

Yikes Frack! The good news is that it looks like the rain is over for you.

Looks just like my backyard when it rains all day, as the water runs from S to N into my neighbors backyard. Last spring I had to trench out a 10" wide 6" deep path around the foundation of the house in the back yard to keep the water away and move it out between our 2 yards and in to the street.
